What's your advice for smaller brands looking to scale their affiliate efforts?

"First, set a strategy for how you want your program to be. Then, look for a platform that does more than just track links. You want something that helps you automate the busywork, scale your outreach, and create a great experience for your affiliates. If you treat them like valued partners and make it easy for them to win, they'll show up for you."

What's your approach to building relationships with affiliates?

"Every time someone posts about Lineage, we make it a priority to interact with the content, respond to DMs, and make sure they know who they're talking to. We sign off with our names and keep the conversation human. We also focus on reciprocity—if someone is showing up for us, how can we show up for them? That could look like featuring them in our newsletter, resharing their content to a larger audience, or offering exclusive perks. Superfiliate's UGC tracking capabilities let us respond quickly and measure impact all in one place!"

How Lineage Provisions is enhancing creator relationships with Superfiliate:

Multi-program management allows tailored communication flows for VIP, affiliate, and referral programs in one unified platform.

Performance analytics drive collaborative growth by giving Lineage and partners real-time insights to align on goals, adjust strategies, and achieve better results together.

Advanced gifting workflows provide complete visibility into package status, content posting, and campaign performance without manual tracking.

Automated email sequences including welcome flows, gift reminders, and referral challenges activate their new affiliates & customers when they're most engaged.

Lineage Provisions is a snack and supplement company that makes animal-based nutrition easy with a high standard for quality, nutrient-density, taste and transparency. They’ve built a successful affiliate program around a core principle; making sure that every creator feels personally connected to the brand.

But as an early-stage company with a small team, maintaining this personal touch while scaling was an ongoing challenge for Marisa Casola, Lineage’s Affiliate Program Manager. Before switching to Superfiliate, Lineage was held back by a platform that couldn't support the relationship-first approach they envisioned for their affiliate community:

"Our last platform was missing the depth of reporting and customization we needed to truly differentiate ourselves from other programs. We were looking for a solution that would grow with us and give our partners a standout experience that felt unique to Lineage and that would help us build deep, authentic relationships with every affiliate. Superfiliate’s features have allowed us to stay high-touch and personal, even as we scale."

White glove migration support for Black Friday

Superfiliate came onto Lineage’s radar via several referrals from existing users. But it was the strength of the platform’s reporting and automated workflows that sealed the deal for Marisa:

"One of the first things that stood out was how streamlined the platform felt. Everything was under one roof,” says Marisa. “The main dashboard made it really easy to access performance insights at a glance. And with the automations to help us with communication flows and gifting campaigns, those were the biggest things that made us feel like we needed it!”

D2C brands typically avoid platform migrations during peak season. But Lineage made the bold decision to overcome their current platform limitations by switching to Superfiliate just in time for Black Friday:

"It was risky, but we had to take that leap for us to really double down for Black Friday," Marisa recalls. "The migration process was seamless. Victor, our merchant success manager, provided true white glove service. He made sure every detail was handled so we could hit the ground running for Black Friday."

The migration was far more than just a platform switch—it became a strategic advantage. Lineage could focus fully on their promotional strategy, while the technical migration was handled seamlessly by Superfiliate’s Merchant Success team.

The results speak for themselves: Lineage’s affiliate and influencer campaigns for Black Friday generated $18,000 in daily revenue, becoming one of their most successful promotions to date.

Using automated workflows to grow affiliate partnerships

Lineage Provisions views their affiliates as true extensions of the brand, not just names in a dashboard. It’s this philosophy that drove their approach to implementing automations shortly after onboarding to Superfiliate:

“Automations really helped us to incentivize affiliates without a ton of manual work. The communication flows are outmatched and have completely transformed how we engage with them.” Says Marisa. “From welcome emails to milestone bonuses and referral challenges, every message is triggered at the right moment. These automations serve as the first touchpoint, which means our time can be spent where it matters most—responding 1:1, nurturing relationships, and helping creators hit their goals.”

Lineage’s automated workflows focus on a creator’s first 30 days in a program, when they are the most engaged and primed to take action:

  • Welcome & gift reminder flow: New affiliates receive a welcome email with all the information they need to start promoting, followed by a reminder to claim their welcome gift.
  • First post & referral recognition: Congratulatory emails trigger when affiliates make their first post or referral, creating meaningful moments of acknowledgment from the brand.
  • 30-day referral challenge: New affiliates receive an invite to a referral challenge upon joining, giving them reward opportunities right from the beginning of the relationship.
  • Milestone bonus notifications: Instant notifications and redemption instructions when affiliates hit milestone goals, ensuring transparency and building trust in the program.

Not only do automated workflows give Marisa full visibility into where each affiliate is at in the program; they also ensure no creator falls through the cracks and misses out on valuable touchpoints to earn rewards and build brand trust:

“A lot of people felt it was really thoughtful, getting an email right off the bat for a first referral or a first post,” says Marisa. “Right at the beginning is when we want to engage with them the most, because that’s when they're the most motivated. We want them to know they’re not just a number and they’re part of the brand.”

Marisa estimates that automations are saving Lineage 40+ hours per week—equivalent to a full-time role dedicated solely to manual outreach and follow-ups:

“If I were to do everything that our automations are currently doing, it would take me all day and night and I would have no time to do any strategy work. Or, I would have to hire someone full-time just to do communications and follow-ups. It definitely saves us a load of time!”

Tailored programs for every type of creator

Lineage operates three distinct program types–VIP partners, affiliate, and referral–each requiring different communication strategies and incentive structures. With Superfiliate's multi-program capabilities, Marisa is able to tailor distinct experiences for every program–communications, gifting, commission structures–while maintaining unified performance tracking and insights:

“We have so many different programs set up in Superfiliate, which allows us to be flexible with  offerings and promotions,” says Marisa. “If someone is a bit too macro to be in a regular affiliate program, we're going to customize their program to be in either a VIP program or a specific program with different promotions. It allows us to speak to them all differently.”

Plus, their fully-customizable creator sign-up form (powered by Superfiliate) captures detailed information about potential affiliates, enabling the strategic segmentation of creators from the very beginning of a partnership:

“Having a customized signup form with a lot of questions helps us in the long run with our segmentation. We can see that this person belongs into this program, which we could segment further down the line. If we wanted to take a niche of people, let's say homesteaders, we could separate those people and speak to them in different ways for dedicated campaigns or products.”

Co-creating the future of creator marketing

Beyond their $18,000 Black Friday revenue peak, Lineage is now processing over 1,000 conversions monthly while maintaining a 40% affiliate program engagement rate—significantly higher than industry averages.

Most importantly, Marisa and her team have achieved this growth while reducing their manual workload and enhancing creator engagement. Rather than sacrificing relationships for efficiency, Superfiliate’s automated workflows have enabled them to scale those partnerships and increase high-value interactions:

"It starts with treating our affiliates like real people—not just conversion numbers,” says Marisa. “At the end of the day, high engagement comes from real relationships. We try to nurture them as much as possible at every touchpoint."

Looking ahead, the Superfiliate platform is continuing to evolve alongside Lineage’s influencer/affiliate marketing strategy. Regular beta testing opportunities and the ability to request new features means that Lineage Provisions is actively shaping the tools they need for future growth:

“As we test and evolve, the platform evolves with us, which is really, really nice. The team is incredibly responsive to feedback, and every new feature they roll out gives us more levers to pull. The more robust Superfiliate becomes, the more creative we can get with our approach!”
